Thumbs down Bad Delivery

Hi Guys,

I'm both happy and a bit worried.

I went to have a look at my brand new x6 5.0 at the dealer today and unfortunately the car had some delivery issues.

- In the Nordics it's mandatory to deliver all cars with heated seats, but this was not installed during production. So I wonder how they will add it afterwards? Sounds like changing seats and a lot of re-wiring.

- Also the end pipes on the exhaust system was badly scratched. Hos is that even possible? Has to be a handling problem in the factory please check your own car for this.

What do you guys think about this? How should I deal with it?

I am sorry to hear, but that kind of problem is not a big problem, but is inconvenient.

First, seat heating is great thing, and you shoul have it,however its strange that you didnot get it..maybe that car is for another market?! Did you order it or its on stock?
That kind of operation is expensive, almost 4000 euro, but if you have order it,than they have to do it for free...any way,you need seat heating!

Second,is much easier, ask them to change pipes because it is dameged.

Good luck!

Yes totally agree with you.

End Pipes no big deal, but still they will have to order it and replace it whenever they will arrive to dealer.

But the seat heating would probably be replacement seats and re-wire to connect proper buttons and seats and a second time going back to dealer for fixing this.

My previous experience with BMW has been really good, this is the first BMW delivery with bad service and quality. Same dealer but first X car.

Sorry to here that, I assume you ordered this from a dealer ?
If so what does the dealer have to says about the seats. On the exhaust is it the ends or top or bottom ? both pipes or just one ?
Nothing should be scratched just curious. can see the end of one maybe being scratched if they were not careful in transport but I looked at my car and it would be hard to do without scratching something else.

Bottom line dealer should fix all of this.
