In the US the increase top speed limiter is part of the sport package, not sure in other markets.

well, its limited in your case...because you have to go over 240km/h...when you have sport packge then speed is not limited.

The red light in the middle, is that the 'Seat Belt' warning light ???

Or is it the 'If You Go Any Faster I Will Eject You' warning light ???

OH SWEET! That makes the sport package that much cooler. I was wondering what "High Speed Tuning" was!!!

Even with the sport package, there is a limit, it's just higher than without the sport package!

This is from the US X6 PDF Brochure:

Top speed limited electronically.
All-season tires limited to 130 mph.
Sport Package top-speed limiter increased to 150 mph with optional 20-inch wheels and performance tires.

If memory serves me right, in Canada the top speed is limited to 210km/h and with the sport package it is limited to 240km/h.

Maybe people who drive flat out with one hand holding a camera should be speed limited...

For my taste and security 24o km/h is just enough for me,even x6 35i can not go much faster than 240km/h,with or without limiter! So sport package is just enought for 35i.

Hm, I have been driving X6 35d on the freeway and the result: 235 km/h and I felt it could not go much faster... and by the papers top speed is 236 km/h, so I was close However, in Europe, and by 20d and 35d, I think that there is no speed limiter. And the one I drove was without Sports Package.

my X6 with sportpackage,it stopped at 4400 rpm like a 245 km/h ,real 235 km/h

there is 2 speed limited one on the rpm and one on a speed
all 2 it's possible remove it...but 235 km/h for these car are very good
