Question Park Brake Failure

Hi all, seen a few posts around this issue, my park brake wont disengage so I can't go anywhere, I have tried the manual release option but that doesn't work, can't take it to a garage as can't move the car, will a mobile auto mechanic be able to do anything?

Thanks

What year? The manual release for parking brake release changes depending on what year you have.

Park Brake

2007, E70 model, I've tried the manual release that is located in the boot behind one of the panels, but that doesn't do anything????

there should be red handle in the trunk.. dont remember right or left side, open the side panel close to stoplight part of the trunk.. there should be a little screw that some part of it is already is on the surface.. attach that handle to that and then pull it up without using too much force.. that ll disengage the handbrake..

Hi, I've managed to release it manually now, had to apply a lot of force to release it, I need to replace the actuator control unit, i've been searching online, how do I know which part I need?
This is the one I have found:
34436850289 Parking Brake Actuator and Control Unit For BMW X5 E70 2007 to 2013

It looks to be the correct part number. But just to confirm it fits, enter your VIN into http://www.realoem.com/ to be sure.
