Is it only from driver or passenger side or both equally? Is there any vibration in the steering wheel? How old are the front pads/rotors? Did it rain while you were running errands? Does it happen with the HVAC completely off? Did you run over anything? Did you do a quick look under the car?

I'm thinking belts or brakes. Could be the brake dust shield scraping against the rotor, or the pad sensor scraping on the rotor, or the caliper sticking on one side, or wet brakes. If it was the caliper sticking you would feel vibration at higher speeds and one caliper would be hotter than the other.

Could just be a belt also since the sound in the video has a pulsing to it like engine noise, but increasing with "speed" doesn't necessarily relate to engine speed, but vehicle movement so likely in the driveline.

I'd take a look at the whole front axle area if you get a chance. Sometimes road debris can hit dust shields or heat shields which rub on rotating components like drive shafts or axles. Check out the brake pads to see the wear level also, when it gets down toward the sensor it will start to squeal. It could be the AC compressor clutch, or a pulley, or a number of other engine things too. Hard to tell since the sound is gone now.

Appreciate the info! It seemed to me that it was just from the front driver side. I did not notice any vibration in the steering but I wasn't going more than 35-40 as this only happened a mile before I got home. I don't think I ran over anything and I'll do a quick look under the car. I don't believe it rained either. One thing about the brakes, however, this same front driver side wheel squeals when reversing. Mechanic checked it a few months ago and said pad is only halfway worn (8mm left) and there is a lip on the rotor causing the sound. Would it likely be brake related? If it was a belt would the sound disappear? Thanks again!
