@justin- Do you guys have a shop in Berlin? I'm going to be moving to the K-Town area in the spring and bringing my 13 X5 35i with me. Give me a shout if the shop is looking for a guinea x5? The stage 2 looks promising and I'm interested in a long term review.

rhombus thanks for the videos, I tried my best to sync them up to see which is faster. I compared it to the results of a stock one which used brake boosting to launch (best I could find).

Top is MHD Stage 2
Middle is Cobb Stage 2+
Bottom is Stock

All 3 cars hit 0-60 mph at around the same time. 6 seconds. Stock one used brake boosting so if Cobb and MHD used brake boosting, it would be faster than 6 seconds. Cobb has full tank of gas, stock has half tank, MHD almost empty. At to 80 mph, the MHD reaches it first, then Cobb, and stock slightly behind. MHD was manually shifting while Cobb and Stock where DS mode.

racermp I saw you are testing out the new revised version of the OTS, that for the E90 or E70?

I've been MIA for couple weeks, cars going to the shop again for maintenance and I'll be posting some logs here shortly.

Has anybody gotten a "Unsupported ECU, version 8638802"?

I got the cable and its new and it works with my laptop i even tried another cable i had for 1.4 and it didnt recognize that one. Any idea what it could be?

I checked my vin to see if i had the one that cant be flashed. But my ECU is in fact the flashable one.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank You

I've had the unsupported ECU happen when I first initially tried even though my DME was flashable. I provided MHD my full VIN and any questions they had following that to add it which caused it to work just fine.

@ Justin@MHD - can you chine in on this since you help with MHD on the flashing/tuning option?

Any feedback/thoughts of the newer "test version" versus the current?

He is working on controlling the wastegate. The turbo lag is greatly reduced. Daily drivability is a lot better.

I ran MHD + custom tune on my big twin 335. It was a monster. How do you like running MHD so far? Any heatsoak/IAT issues?

That's pretty awesome, I still had stock twins on my (2) 335s and I felt it was a beast in those cars. As far as the E70 goes I absolutely feel this tune is worth the penny still. Issues I think that need to be address is the turbo lag. Even though the lag isn't AS MUCH as OEM base tune it, the throttle mapping should be more aggressive as it initially came out.

IAT/heat-soak issues haven't occurred, I haven't done constantly pulls back to back but so far everything runs pretty smooth. I know others on the forum have the tune, one above showing the OTS stage 2 test run so I'm sure feedback from the more aggressive tune will provide more detail in this area

So you're running the Stage 1+ tune with completely stock setup?

Correct, I was going to do the K&N air filter but eventually I will be adding basic bolt-ons. As mentioned earlier in this thread, our E70 OEM FMIC is basically an upgraded FMIC according to Cobb so to speak

Excellent. Plan to go MHD S1+ in the next few days. Has anyone pushed the envelope on the N55 for the E70? Pure Stg 2's, PI/TBI, custom MHD tune, E85, etc? I realize its a completely different platform from the e9x, but the N55 is a stout engine with some nice capability.

Honestly I don't believe so just because no one has actually mentioned it on this post. It doesn't mean it hasn't happen but of course it might be a possibility. You COULD be the first since usually the Ms are the beast in the E70/71 area

I'm actually enjoying the tune on the X5 honestly, I'll just randomly cruise and do a WOT lol It feels like it wants to just constantly pull through all gears which is nuts for just being bone stock.

Have you tested the tune out on the 335 yet? I know I enjoyed on my N54 335i(s) and stuck with MHD due to the products results
What's up, I wrote back in the 1st page & since there's been to much chat.. I'm running a BMS stage1 & intake for N55 and bored. Is there a solid release for IOS? What are my options?

Okay so I know from MHD it is only based off the android side not for an iOS. So buy a cheap tablet, OBD cable and download the MHD app. First page has the original link so you can get spun up on what you need and how to utilize the app.

MHD is progressing extremely well, I know someone recently went from the BMS tune to the MHD and actually enjoys this tune better

Understood... on this link is there instructions or is it self explanatory? Not tryna effff up my Ecu..

I'm sure he's enjoying it, from what I see BMS stage1 just takes away Turbo lag but still think it's only hitting 9psi.

Thank you for the quick reply

No problem for the quick reply and I just now updated the FIRST post I made on this thread that'll explain everything you need to do. (Super easy by the way.)

DME version needs to be established which you can do before buying ANYTHING on the provided hyperlink in the first post.

The flash is self-explanatory but to sum up reading all that mess I'll make it short for you. The steps for that are also listed in the first post also now so it'll help us NOT go back and forth

You'll still see stock PSI numbers from the JB3 since it's a piggyback and tries to hide itself from the BMW computers.
