Question Best LED Angel Eye upgrade for E70 X5M

I have a 2012 X5M and im wondering what is the best company to go with to upgrade the angel eyes to LED's?

Also, i want to get black grills in the front and is their any specific company that is recommended? or just find a reputable seller on eBay for them?

Thanks everyone

I thought all 2012+ (and the late 2011 builds) of the X5 all came with LEDs from the factory. Perhaps that is different on the X5M models.

Either way, I opted to not go the LED route because they're expensive and the issues of the outer rings not illuminating would bother me. These are the results I got with the PIAA Xtreme White H8 bulbs:

I have the PIAA Xtreme White H8 bulbs and am quite happy with them, especially since they were only $70 shipped.

I did just order the PIAA Precious White H8 bulbs for my wife's 135i. They are 4800K as opposed to the ones I have in my X5 which are 4150K.

mTEC V2 is the whitest / brightest on the market. I have a set of V2 on my 7 for almost a year; no flickering, no error, and hasn't turned yellow like cheaper LEDs. mTEC uses 4 3w CREE XPE chips, so CREE is the best in the industry.

PIAA is cheaper, but it wasn't the white and intensity I was looking for when I had a 2011 X5.

Link below. Talk to Steve, tell him Jimmy sent you. He might give you a deal.

(X5m might use X6 spec, but they're the same part)

Just don't forget it will never look like the OEM LEDs from BMW since the design is completely different. I have seen a lot of people spend time and effort in putting in expensive LED bulbs only to have very bright inner coronas and completely wash out outer coronas.

I just received my PIAA Precious White 4800K bulbs, I'll post a review once I install them.

Stick with CREE V2 or LUX V3.
