TPMS malfunction

TPMS malfunction message started to appear after recently tire change. Random at first but then much more frequent. Took it to the tire shop (America's Tires) and their diagnostic equipment couldn't detect one of the TPM sensors, I a new one was replaced. TPMS malfunction message still pops up, again random.

I read that the new run flats creates a lot of static could cause interference?

Went back to tire shop was told that the battery on the rest of the sensors may be bad, so the rest of them were also replaced. Now the system will not reset at all. Tried everything, rebooting the sensor, using the computer module to sync, etc... Not hing worked.

Anyone have any idea?

Do you have the part number of the sensors they put on your car? Sounds like they put the wrong year model on which would prevent reset.

Went back to the tire shop and told them to put my original sensors back in (I lucked out they gave me the old sensors back when they put the new ones in)

Problem solved. They did ck the part number and the news one they put in were the right ones. So don't know what happened.

TPMS will also start to have some issues in under -20 F weather. Mine acted up last Winter, then it warmed up and nothing in 6 months. Now Winter is back and I suspect I will have the glitchy TPMS sensor issue come back.

Problem persisted after awhile, still random TPMS malfunction. Took the car to the dealer, one front sender and receiver was replaced. Malfunction message went off.

But still comes on if car is driven more than one hour. Crazy shit! Driving me nuts!
