suggestions needed for x6M exhaust system

Hey folks I need some suggestions for the modification of my x6M exhaust. Pretty much I just want to get more sound out of it and some hp gain would be nice too. so... Should i get ride of the resonator? get ride of 2nd cat? get rid of both and put a x-pipe in? OR jus get a brand new aftermarket exhaust system (if so what brand? eisenmann? meisterschaft?) thx!

I would suggest going with a simple bolt on aftermarket system. This way you can always go back to stock at anytime. Also from past experience although I can't speak on behalf of the X6m but on previous cars such as the Cayenne, when we started deleting secondary cats and resonators for customers as an inexpensive way to get more sound from the car, the car tends to sound really bad. It does make the car louder but not in a good way because the stock mufflers were not designed for that added flow that is created from deleting other areas of the exhaust system. Plus you might run into emmission and warranty issues by deleting your cats. I would check your local emission laws first.

With that all said, I would stick with a German or European Brand exhaust system such as Eisenmann (German), Supersprint (Italian) you can go wrong with either one of those if your looking for something to go with the factory rear apron.

Look at my video of my exhaust.

Muffler, down pipes, mid pipes, x pipes. No resonators or mufflers in the mid pipes. Serious sound and it really doesn't give you true sound. In person it's pretty serious
