Cylinder 5 misfire X5d
Car is 2011 X5d with 140,000. Deleted and tuned.
So I have the cylinder 5 misfire. I have looked at a lot of posts and some videos seems could go easy or have some issues. Just like most things I guess. So other than slide hammer, torque wrench, injectors, maybe magnet tool. So I have to buy most of that! Are there other tools or anything you might suggest? Any links to these parts anyone could provide? When taking intake manifold off I was going to do at least that side vacuum lines. Sound like a good idea? Any other things I should replace? Not sure where glow plug controller is but if it is close to there should I replace it? One of my biggest questions is Should I just do all injectors?? Thanks for any feedback. |

What code did it give? I had injector activation CEL for #5 & #6, but it really felt like a misfire.. How are your rain trays under the hood? They like to crack and drip water onto injector #5 & #6. I replaced both rain trays and both injectors to solve my issue... NOT CHEAP by any means, but its sorted now finally. If you can afford to swap out all 6 injectors, i would.... that rules out any issues related to them. I would also check and/or replace the oem rain trays, so that water wont every fuck up another injector. haha its only money....
