Unhappy Please Help ! 07 E70 3.0si tapping/ticking (is my motor toast?)

Hi, My engine has recently developed a tapping sound that sounds almost like a card in bike spokes. I've searched and searched and haven't come across another that sounds like this. All other n52 tapping ticking sound bites have a solid idle mine sounds more broken up like rapid surging. I'm at my wits end and need some help narrowing it down.

Details:
My X5 has 130k on the dash
the sound follows the rpm
I can hear the sound on start up
car starts quick but hard
Can't feel any power loss - I hit the gas and she goes.
rpms dip when coming to a stop with ac off.
sound is constant from start up to shutdown

I've changed both cam position sensors
cleaned vanos solenoid and swapped
cleaned MAF
changed ignition coils on 5 and 6
changed all plugs
changed pre cat lambda bank 2

codes I currently have but may be unrelated (not sure)
system too lean bank 2
multiple misfire bank 2

Valve cover leaking (replacing this week)

I do have an aftermarket warranty (wynns) but I need my car for work so dropping it off for days isnt an option unless totally necessary.

I've embedded a video of the sound (I think)
Please help.

I chased something like this for months on an E53, turned out to be a loose spark plug(that of course I installed). Worth a look.

Sounds like the infamous hydraulic valve lifter issue. BMW had issues with oil not properly lubricating the lifter. BMW eventually redesigned the lifters and head to allow proper lubrication which is the only way to permanently correct the lifter ticking. Some people have noticed that with “spirited” driving it’ll subside but if I recall other people were either changing the oil weights or using engine flush fluids with some success.

Keep us updated.
