Next upgrade

I know it's somewhat personal preference, but I'm trying to decide on the next mod for my 50i.

I'm going back and forth between cat-back exhaust or KW V3s.

Mods I've done so far are...
- LED interior lights.
- New metallic pedals
- BAVSound 14 speaker replacement
- Hardwire passport max with blendmount
- Weathertech mats
- Coding quite a few options
- fog bulb change
- Velos tune

I'm thinking the KWs would effect my overall driving enjoyment more.

Thoughts?

Thanks!
Joe

Yes, a suspension overall would make the most dramatic difference. It all depends on what you want to do with the vehicle, goals, budget, etc...

Perhaps you can get by with lowering springs alone? But if an adjustable suspension is what you want, then KW is pretty much what you need to get.

Are lowering springs for cosmetic reasons only? Any handling tradeoffs?

Lowering springs are typically a tad stiffer and shorter. Giving you a lower center of gravity, and firmer ride. If not designed right, when improperly matched to the dampers, you'll have a bouncy ride.

KW allows for tuning this oscillation out both on compression and rebound, as well as fine tuning ride height. At a cost of course. But its a properly designed "turn key," solution.

Were you happy with the Bav Sound speaker upgrade? I just ordered for my base 35D system. Thanks!

Very happy.

Clarity is 3X better. Base response isn't any better because the under seat subs are awful, but I'm considering a JL stealthbox soon.

I haven't been under the set to see, but has anyone used the stock poor excuese for a Sub and replaced the speaker for a better one with good results?

I have seen people who have put them in the rear stock panels and looks like it a great setup but I want to keep the stock look of not seing them.

Yes you can replace them, but they are tiny and it really doesn't add much.

The JL Stealthbox that fits in the spare tire compartment is the way to go.
