X535d Ordered!

Hi Guys/Gals:
My wife and I just placed an order 8/3 and I'm hoping we can take delivery by the end of Sept Hopefully with the summer break, production becomes faster. I want to take advantage of the Ultimate Drive Credit. I'm looking for that sweet spot between being produced with the revised bright white corona rings and at my dealer by the 30th!

2011 X35d; Platinum Grey; Cinnamon Brown; Dark Burl; ZAP (sav pac); 20" upgrade #214; ZRC (rear climate pac); heated front; running boards; and space saver spare.

I had some post-decision dissonance between the diesel and the 35i, b/c faster should always be better--right? But the various trade offs (e.g., torque, credits, slightly better mpgs) hopefully will make up for it. Besides it's my wife's car.

Nice. My dealer tells me my 35d is due in the second week of Sept. No regret here on the diesel. I didn't buy the X5 for speed first - that was second . Great mileage and low-end torque pulled me in. My 550 or 335 will be for speed

Kief - the X35d does pull hard though for a 4WD 5,400 lb. vehicle - a sub 7 second 0-60 is not bad. Plus, it handles snow and ice.

Does BMW still offer the $4,500 Eco credit on X5d if you finance? (on the website the eco credit shows up with lease offers.)

Do you have a dedicated winter set-up, or are those 19" the A/S that came with your d?

I need to purchase another winter set-up for the X...it never ends!

Yes, eco is still available for financing, which is what I'm doing. But be sure to lock in as it is only advertised until the end of Aug. However, from my understanding, the eco credit has never been taken away since the start, but you never know!

Also, if you attended the Ultimate Drive event, you can take advantage of another $1k if you pick up before the end of Sept. And don't forget your $1k CCA rebate!!!!

Ultimately, I'm hoping the X arrives before the end of Sept. Additionally, I hope BMWFS extends the eco credit after the end of Aug; therefore, I can use PenFed at 2.9% vs. FS's 4.9%.

To be clear you don't need to use FS 4.9% to get the eco credit, but I rather get the eco credit which I'm locked into, than lose $4500 if it is not extended.

These are just the 19" A/S that came with the X5 - they were fine even though I am sure dedicated winter tires would be better.

Thanks, but if I go with A/S, I've been communicating with a guy selling his 212 19" (takeoffs) from Roundel. However, I'm thinking a dedicated winter tire would be wiser for my situation.
