Anyone install front brush guard and/or rear bumper protector

Planning to spend some time in NYC and going to drive my 2013 X6 there.

When street parking I would like to protect my car from people that like to bump into you when parking. Considering installing this on the front for the trip: http://www.ebay.com/itm/161078266376

Anyone has any other easily bolted on brush guards they can suggest?
Also, what about rear bumper protection, any suggestions?

Thanks,
Vadim

Personally i think its ugly. I live in nyc and to protect the front bumper, i have the bump shox license plate holder. Its not the prettiest thing but nicer than the brush guard and easy to install assuming you have front plates. I was across the street and saw a driver back right up and hit my front bumper but the bump shox worked.
For the idiots behind you, i have the ugly bumper badger thing that hangs over the bumper whenever i park. I dont drive with it out but some ppl do. Im tempted to get a hitch installed so i can have something sticking out all the time.

Thanks for you post. http://www.bumpshox.com/ does look like a better solution. Less ugly than a whole brush guard, cheaper and easier to install. I can mount it before the trip and take off after I am back. I wonder if it will make my car less airodynamic?

What are your thoughts on BumperBully for the rear: http://www.bumperbully.com/

oh, sorry. I always get the name mixed up with Bumper Badger. I meant the Bumper Bully is the one that I have and works fine. Flip it out when I park, flip it back in before I drive. I got the Platinum one. I just noticed that site has the Bump Shox too - I have the biggest one they have...the XL.

As a NYC parker for many years my advice to a visitor is to pony up the money for a garage and leave it there. I never do otherwise unless there is no choice. Residents really don't care about other people's cars and there is a whole subset of drivers who purposely drive pieces of junk, park on the street and don't think twice about bumping their cars into yours to fit into that parking space.
