Fuel prices at an all time high

I usually don't complain about fuel prices because if I really cared I would have bought a Prius.

The pay at the pump option only allows for up to $125...they might have to increase that soon.

81.876 L = 21.55 US gal
In my neck of woods, that would only be around $83.xx for premium (Mobil 1 gas station).
However, I always fill up the X5M when it is around 1/4 left. I always pay approx $60-65 every fill up.

Good thing work pays for fuel otherwise I'd be complaining also. The 528i is looking more and more appealing...

I usually go shell 91, I was pretty empty and husky was the only station on the south end of RedDeer. ECUProgram has a new Stage II+ tune but it's 94octane only so I might have to make the switch to Husky or Petro Canada 94.

My work paid for my vehicle and fuel as well up until this year they changed and now give me a vehicle allowance instead. So this year is the first time a have paid for my fuel in about 13 years.

I hear you. With my combined driving of approximately 40k-45k a year between the M3 and the x5M I am quickly getting tired of the gas prices. I love both of my cars, but the gas thing is getting old. I am shopping an x3 3.5 or x5 3.5 to replace the x5M. I am in a good position on it equity wise so now is a good time to bail for something more efficient. 3-5 fill ups a week between the two cars is just annoying. I am at the gas station at least once every other day and sometimes I am at the gas station daily. Wonderful cars, but not ideal for high mileage drivers like myself.

Don't drive the X5 3.5 like you would your M, while it might get better MPG my 35i of I run her hard, well let say grown men shouldn't cry.

But drive her conservatively and you can do very well. This tank of gas I'm right on the line for 24.5 to 24.7. It's my best tank since I got it a little over a month ago, but I'm just happy with 22 or better, 24 plus and I'm ecstatic.

Before I had my tune if I was going on long hi way trips I would put a tank of regular in. The gas station attendant called me out on it.... He said aren't you supposed to run premium in the M. Since then I feel too guilty to put anything besides premium in.

What is your diesel at? I haven't filled ours up in a few weeks...the wife finally figured out she can also fill it up when it's empty but it is more than premium in Alberta. Which I can't get my head around since it's a byproduct of refined gasoline

I saw the diesel at 144.9.
It's usually a few cents less than regular during this time of year.

Ours used to be cheaper as well but I think the demand is pretty high with all of the jacked up diesel trucks in Alberta now.

As I am looking at another X5d I found this old thread.... $117/tank I have Merc now that’s about $50 to fill once a week. Gas is about $0.20 cheaper now than 2014. But damn I don’t miss the big fuel bills.
