Perfect Wheel Specs for Flush Fitment

I'm about to make a deal on a CPO 2011 X5 and I need to go ahead and order some wheels. This will be my wife's car so I want to go with something not so aggressive. I plan on ordering 20x10 and 20x11 Forgestar F14 wheels.

I did a bunch of searching and I didn't really find a thread with recommended specs, offsets, etc? From what I did gather, I'm thinking 20x10 +35 in the front and 20x11 +25 in the rear?

If that's correct, I think I can go Deep Concave in the front and Super Deep Concave in the rear.

This truck will be a normal Premium/Sport xDrive but I can always add the fender flares if need be.

Thanks for any feedback!

I'm not sure on the fitment but I do love your choice. Those are going to look great!!

Thanks, I think they'll look good too. Plus I have a F30 335 on CF5V so we can be semi-matching

Agreed.. Good looking wheels and especially in super deep concave. I gave them a look too when looking for a set of wheels for my x6. Post up some pics if you end up getting them!

I will post pics for sure ....

No insight on proper offsets? I talked with m.o.d bargains (I bought my CF5V wheels from them) and they said I need 10.5 in the front and 11 in the rear. Apparently Forgestar doesn't make the 20x10 in deep concave for the front.

So your rears will stick out an inch further than stock. Are others running that and it's flush?

I think i'm running even lower in the rear to be honest.

my setup is with Sport fenders:
22x10's 40 offset with 12mm spacer in the front ='s ET 28 overall
22x11's 35 offset with 25mm spacer in the rear ='s ET10 overall

The front could go to a 15mm spacer if you wanted to push it no problem. (I'm happy with the 12mm though)
The rear is perfect the way I have it. Make sure you take into account the wheel widths when comparing the final offsets it changes the final fitment... they have offset calculators online that allow you to put starting width and come up with the comparible offset for a different width.

YOU NEED THE FENDER FLARES. No question about it. Also you'll want to lower the truck to finish the look. I'm on the H&R 1.2" drop springs rides great even with 22's.

This will vary greatly depending on fenders - normal, extended, msport or M. The OP needs to specify what fenders he is trying to mate these wheels to in order for recommendations to be meaningful

Thanks guys. Yea I'm still getting my feet wet with the fender flare options. Most likely the truck will come with normal/standard fenders. This will be my wife's DD so I'm just trying to get it to look decent for when I have to drive it every now and then.

I'm going to try and not drop it but knowing me, I'll probably end up at least going the H&R 1.2" route even though there are mixed reviews.

So I'm almost sure I'll go with 20x10 and 20x11. You think +30 front and +30 rear will be pretty flush with standard fenders?

I guess another thing to mention/ask... does it matter if it's LCI or not? Are they the same offset recommendations?

here are the pics of my stated setup above. I'm honestly not sure without the fender flares. I do know the x5 just looks terrible with more aggressive oem/aftermarket wheels without the flares there are threads with pictures of specifically that and it just doesn't flow, everyone in the thread ended up adding the fender flares.

Offsets are the same LCI or not. Hopefully those pics help you gauge the offset you are aiming for with my info above about the setup.

No but he did shortly after adding the flares to finish the look.

That is my rig in the link, after those pics I went with 12/20mm spacers. It is also my wife's unit so I didn't want to go too aggressive. I have an X5M with the OEM style 299 I went with 15/25mm spacers and I think it's perfect fitment.

Here is with 12mm front 20mm rear with the fender flares, it sits similar to spacers/no flares but the flares and spacers just gives it a way nicer look.

I don't seem to have any pictures of my M on the OEM wheels with good angles to see the fitment but here are a couple I have the front has no spacer in these pictures I take the front spacer off for winter. So just a 25mm rear spacer in these pictures.

Thanks for those pics. I'm thinking of going with the cheaper Rohana Wheels since it will be my wifes car and they make the 20x10 in +25 or +40 and the 20x11 in +28.

Sounds like the rear will be fine and the front in +25 will be just 3mm more aggressive than yours. Should be fine I guess. Just don't want it to be too aggressive for her....

Hello there , i m so sorry if i will ruin the author's topic but i m unable to set up a new thread !I m willing to buy a 2007-2008 E70 as my first car ! My brother has got a pair of Hamann wheels 10.5x22" wheels that he use to have them in his porsche cayenne (5x130 )
I really like those wheels and i ask him to give them to me but he mention to me that bmw is 5x120.
I m wondering if there is a solution with spacers/adapters etc . If anyone got 5x130 on his e70 with any modification , can explain me how and if he can post a photo thAt would be very helpful and i will be very thankful for him

Thanks in advance
George

Alright so I'm finally taking delivery of my wife's 2012 X5 tomorrow. I already have the rubber so I just need to order the wheels asap. The rear will be 20x11 +28 but I need your opinions on the fronts.

I can either get 20x10 +25 or 20x10 +40 and just run a 10mm spacer. It will have stock flares for right now but I'll probably upgrade to the extended flares soon. My thought process is that I don't want her fitment to be too aggressive so I'm thinking about just getting the +40.

Thoughts?
