X5 question

I have finally been brought to reality and realized I need to sell my beloved 335 and get into an SUV. Naturally I am aiming at the X5, but the diesel (I'll be doing some towing). Quick question about the E70's. Is it either 3rd row or spare tire? Can you have both options?
