Picked one up yesterday

I flew to San Antonio yesterday, and picked up an '11 X5 M. I had been watching this car for quite some time, but hesitated on pulling the trigger because the mileage was a little higher than I wanted at 39k. But after the dealership dropped it below $53,000, I just had to nibble. It was a 7/11 build, so it has a late in service date, and all the options I wanted, except for heated rear seats and entertainment. Meh, my kids are spoiled enough as it is, they can just use their iPads.

When I walked into the showroom and saw the car in person, I could not believe how clean it was, best of all, the interior was as spotless as the exterior, and it still has the BMW new leather smell, so no weird BO issues or stains from previous owners to deal with. Everything works as it should, and after 16+ hours of driving from TX to NC, the active seat is now my best friend! If this car had been at a BMW dealership, it probably would have been CPO and at least 6-8k more.

I know I will miss the M3 when it's gone, but I don't feel like I've given anything up with the X5, since I never tracked or plan to.

It was still light out when I got to Greer, so I took her home for a few pictures. I'll take some more tomorrow when I wash off the travel grime.

Thanks! I bought it from Jordan Motorcars. They were pretty easy to deal with, and I out of there with the car in 30 minutes, dealt with them mostly via email and phone.

Nice pick up, I also found a deal on one across the country but I had mine shipped on a transport because I didn't have the time to go drive it back but I wish I would have. The heated rear seats....my kids love it but it's more of a novelty although we live in a super cold climate. We also have the rear entertainment also a novelty because they both have iPads....both options you or they can do without

The drive home was amazing, running 85 through Alabama/Georgia for most of the way, all it took was a toe tip to fall into the left lane for a pass, and back to the right lane.
