Top Speed of X5M?

Just wondering if anyone knows the real top speed of the X5M? BMW website says 130 mph; many car magazines indicate 150-155 mph.

Haven\'t had the chance to find out for myself yet.

yes they are governed @ 155mph. but with a tune u will eliminate the govenor i had mine @ 174 and it was still pulling

Wow. 174, thats impressive. I don't know why BMW website indicates just 130 mph for the X5M. They list the 555 HP correctly though.

The standard 3.0d/3.0 the top speed is I believe 130mph. I have the 40d with a top speed of 147mph. We looked at the 30d but for 2k more got the 40d....

driver package = 175 mph. i hit 170 myself

Base models are 130 mph. Any sport package equiped X5 is shown as 150 MPH that I have seen. The X5M surely should be a 150 MPH limit (US).
This is mostly due to the tire rating on the particular model.

166MPH (Limiter) on EDM models. I reached on a drag race vs an '02 SL55AMG (476HP)

G-Power Germany claims 202MPH with its Stage 3 package....

Mine isn't an x5m, just a 4.8i with sport package and I've had it pegged at 155. Im sure with a governor eliminator 170-175 is easily attainable with the x5m.

BMW's website says 155 mph, and that's pretty accurate for where the limiter kicks in. C&D got a measured 158 mph before the limiter stopped it.
