E70 X5 Turbo Upgrade!

Hello all,

My Turbo is failing on a 2013 X5. I am looking to change the Turbo and am wondering if there is an upgrade stage 1 or 2 that i can install instead of the OEM Turbo?

Has anyone done this on their 2013 X5?

Wouldn't you have the same options as other N55 owners? Now I'm curious even though I no longer have an N55.

you should be able to use a pure... fyi... if your EWG... which I think you are ... just get the stage 2.. the stage one isnt a big bump on ewg like it is the pwg...

You guys are too technical and have lost me. What I have found out is that the N55 engine in the X5 does not have the same turbo arrangement as an N55 twin turbo on a 5 series. The one on the X5 is attached to a manifold as one unit. this is the OEM part which is the direct replacement 11-65-7-636-423

https://www.bmwpartsnow.com/oem-part...er-11657636423

Most Stage one and Stage 2 turbos I have seen fit on the N55 twin turbo 5-series where the manifold and the turbo are separate components.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

There is an X5 option here.
