X5 Battery
Hi there
I was just wondering if somebody could give me some advice regarding the X5 battery, please? My workmate has been looking after his deceased father's X5 for a few months. He let the battery discharge! I recently took the battery out and trickle charged it at home. My charger said it was fully charged. Anyway, after putting the battery back in, nothing has happened. I can't get the car to start. The lights don't work. Nothing works except the hazard light does illuminate. I'm guessing the battery is no good, but as I said, it was supposedly fully charged. Perhaps there's something I'm not doing? He just needs to get the car going as it's going to be sold. He'd rather not have to purchase a brand new battery. They're rather pricey, it seems. Thanks Paul |

Do you have a code reader?
Try unplugging the IBS sensor on the negative battery terminal. https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=679775 Can you start the car by jumping it from the hood posts? |
