CCC Brightness settings not saved

2009 E70 with the CCC
I just picked up the car last week, and trying to sort out all of the whacky electronic faults.
Every time I get in the car I have to reset the CCC screen Brightness setting because it always defaults to the middle setting, which is not very bright.
The mechanic said to try pressing the seat memory, I have also done this, but every time I get into the car, it is set to the middle brightness and I have to reset it.

Anyone have any ideas on how to resolve this?
