What parts to replace for hot door handle and high battery drain?

I have the high battery drain message and a hot front passenger handle. What do I need to replace? Just the outer handle or the whole assembly? I attached pics of 2 options that I see for sale.

Just the outer handle in the first picture. The part is expensive or no longer available at some dealerships. eBay has some used ones but probably with a shorter lifespan. Unfortunately many just disconnect the wire and reinstall it.

Ok thanks! Definitely going to unplug it for the time being while I search for a part.

Throw some zipties around the disconnected bits and secure it back to the handle assy. Otherwise you'll have to go fishing if you ever choose to reinstall them.

Thought of that immediately! Tied a string to the wire harness and the handle.
