Tracking X5 production

Placed an order for 2012X5 35i over the weekend. When I used the production number to track the order it shows a completely different configuration. Anybody has any ideas on why? In addition how long does it generally take for the car to arrive at east coast? Thanks.

It happens sometime time show different config on the car, will be change back few days later if you still worry give dealer a call. Think car should be complete and shipped within 3-4 weeks.

Your CA should have the VIN shortly if they don't have it already. The configuration will update to your ordered options once the car starts production. The website also lags reality by at least 24hrs. You can call BMW NA customer service and enter your production number and it will be more up to date.

They probably took an x5 that was already allocated to the dealership and changed it to what you ordered. It should change in a day or two. I got my X5 in exactly two weeks and I live I'm Arkansas.

How long does it usually take to start production and have an estimated completion date? Mine has been almost a week and still shows on order with the wrong configuration.
