10x20 and 11x20 Wheels

Can someone tell me why there are 4 different part numbers posted for wheel #5 on this diagram?
http://www.bmw-auto-parts-dealer.com...heels-1956285/

I understand there is 1 option for the 11" wide wheel on the back.. and 1 option for the 10" on the back. But why are there 2 others for the front? I dont understand.

I am looking at a 2009 X5 and it has this same style wheels, but I want the 11" on the back. And I cannot seem to figure out if they will fit my 2009 and if they are the same type wheel.

2009 = Style 214
2010 = Style 177 And 214.

So why do they sell P/N:36116774398 ? it looks like the same 10" as the 2009 10". So, why do they have different styles and part numbers for this. The 2010 front should be the same as 2009 front - in my thinking.

Both style look the same online. But are they the same in person? Will the wider 11" wheels fit AND match my 2009 front wheels?

Is it possible it's the site itself? It's not like they diligently list their address or any other own info. Has anyone bought anything from them?

Ditto smyles...this appears to be a typo on their website. My suggestion would be to consult another online parts database to verify what appears at first blush to be an inconsistency. It looks like they have the part nbrs listed for a set of staggered 214 wheels then a set of staggered style 117 wheels.

I did a quick search for the style 214 wheel on www.realoem.com and this is what they have listed. There are 4 different types of 214 wheels but its because there's a light colored staggered set (10"/11")...and a dark (black) colored staggered set (10"/11"). The site you linked has the incorrect part nbrs listed that are for a totally different wheel style. That's why its always good to verify the correct part nbrs when buying parts :
  • 36 11 6 772 249 (10"x20" wheel)
  • 36 11 6 772 250 (11"x20" wheel)
  • ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
  • 36 11 6 794 696 (10"x20" black wheel)
  • 36 11 6 794 896 (11"x20" black wheel)

If you don't have any other BMW onlinen part databases saved to your favorites/bookmarks...consider the ones below:
  1. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/select
  2. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/
  3. www.Etk.cc (this site also has a VIN decoding feature)

According to the BMWfans.info website (item #2 in the diagrams and link belows)...style 214 wheels and style 177 wheels both can be mounted on sport pkg models & non sport pkg models...and there's no restriction in the build date column:
