Yea, I am debating 35i, 35d, and 50i. I already have a 2012 e92 m3 so I'm not as performance focused on this winter/ daily x5. If I went with the 35i I would add a tune, downpipes, etc. and come out with around 350hp and 400 torque, enough to be interesting. I think the 35i would be most reliable. Plus in my price range the 2011-2012 50i has been problematic.

I can live without soft close and rear DVD, no kids! M sport and adaptive drive attracted me to this one.

Nicely optioned but there's always a few items missing on these! Adding to what others have noted, I don't see the following:
Active Steering
Active Cruise Control
Leather Dashboard
3rd Row Seats
Rear Heated Seats (part of Cold Weather Package in 2012+, Standalone option in 2011)

Adaptive drive is very nice to get. You will want to retrofit a combox to get bluetooth audio. Can be done for around $150 in parts.

Ditto...this X5 is nicely optioned but there's more things possibly missing from the list but could have been added later. For instance, it has the "prep" for satellite radio...but not the actual satellite tuner (again, it may have been added later):

• 693 Satellite Tuner Preparation Satellitentuner Vorbereitung (this was on the list)

The option code for the satellite radio tuner is:

• 655 Satellite tuner (this was not on the list)

As mentioned previously, it appears not to have the CWP (cold weather pkg)...in which the cost could go for other options if the original buyer lived in a warm climate...the CWP would include:

• 248 Heated Steering Wheel
• 496 Seat Heating, Rear
• 464 Ski Bag/Pass
• 502 Pop up Headlight washers

And the option below is also missing from the list:

• 220 Self-levelling suspension

If you want reliability the 35i is the way to go

Just to be clear, he has LCI which has the SAT tuner hardware. It is just disabled but can be enabled by purchasing an FSC code.
