cold air intakes?
who makes a cold air intake kit for the e70? or are there just filters from k&n and afe?

Depends on what Engine you have. Considering the 3 series are very popular and share some of the same engines as the e70, I'd look at available intakes for those. If 35i, look at the N55 335i CAI, if 35d look at options for the 335d etc...

oh sorry its a 07 with the 3.0 probably not much available besides a drop in.

Cold Air Intake
The good guys at ESS Tuning recommended staying with the BMW air filter. They put a lot of time and thought into this and have a well designed filter installed. Additionally, the oil coming from the K & N type filters will eventually clog the sensors and create a costly repair down the road.

wow.. and I recently installed a K & N filter in my 07 X5 3.0si. I guess when its time to clean and re-oil the K & N, I will consider going back to the original OEM filter. No need to intentionally clog the sensors. (but I will do some more research on this)

I did a little DIY on the Drop it AFE Pro Dry S Filters. They have been awesome. No issues to worry about with oil getting on MAFS. I can't say you have noteable dyno HP but, makes you fell good anyways.
