If the CF is not damaged under the clear coat and only the clear Epoxy coat has cracks you can get that repair by sanding it down completely and applying a new coat of epoxy, I did it to my crackes lip and that cracked diffuser you traded me.

It is slightly chipped and you can see the fibers. I found a brand new one for $750, so If I can get this fixed/ painted free and get 500-600 for it, Id rather do that...

New Tires...The Week Link is no more...
Ordered Some New Tires Today, considering In my opinion tires were clearly the only thing holding me outta the 11s...
Why I say that...My 1/4 mile times stayed the same, with the car bone stock but the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport tires... Added, AFE Intake, ACM Test Pipes , Fabspeed Cat-less X Race + X pipe (No resonators) CNT rear section. BPM Stage II Tune, 3500 RPM Launch Control, 8600 RPM Redline (NMAX), No top speed limiter (VMAX)....Remapped fuel, VANOS, and ignition timing, and a brand new clutch and tranny + full 40k mile tune up, dont to spec... Car went from: 12.6 @ 108 with a 1.8X 60 ft time (Average) Bone Stock/ OEM tires to: 12.65 @ 121.xx with a g0ft time of 2.3-2.5 seconds... Had a best trap of 123 and there was actually a slight incline. end of the 1/4 was 4ft higher than the beginning...temps were near freezing which added some power, but even ater getting the tires hot as hell, I still had to let almost completely let off the throttle in 1st/2nd and do a slow shift into 3rd. Tires I used after the OEM, were Hankook Ventus evo V-12 's 255/35/19, 275/35/19's and I left them at max (45) psi to improve gas milage. Even at 50mph in <50* F tires would break loose as so aas hit the powerband... The tipping point was when a friend with an identical 6 speed m3 that is a much less experienced driver than me took me off the line by 2-3 cars EVERY time. By 3rd gear, even spinning through 1st and 2nd I'd rip past him @ at least 10-25 mph faster. From a 30-40 mph rolls I'd absolutely destroy low 12 sec cars and hang right behind low to mid 11 sec cars. Picked Up 245/35/19 and 265/35/19 Michelin Pilot sport Cups for a great price. Little warmer temps, launch control, these tires and a little bit more experience, I am fully confident I ill pull consistant 11's @ 120mph +, maybe 125... All i need is a sub 2 sec 60' ft...

Got the new Wheels/Tires...
Since the wheels I need replaced are backordered in "Matte Graphite", I got the gloss black versions...Seeing them in person, I considered switching but not a fan of the whole blackout thing...
So this weekend or 4 wheels (2 Older, 2 Brand new) are getting powder coated slightly darker than the previous graphite, but refinishing with a gloss finish as opposed to a porous matte surface... New Tires: Michelin Pilot Sports 285/35/19's & 265/35/19....AKA many traction problem tractions will be eliminated this summer And of course, while some of you hate them, I love the raised white lettering so got the new lettering kit as well...

Photo-shopped Black Wheels....
Did some photoshop work to help decide which color to finish the wheels...While Black looks OK, IMHO cant beat the Graphite...

Do you have pics of timeslips from 123mph trap? That is insane, that is what supercharged cars trap. If you trapped 123mph I believe you are the fastest NA e92 M3 on stock block, by a significant amount.
What is the DA of your drag strip? Awesome trap speed regardless. |

The results were from multiple performance meters and accelerometers, and also the results of races with friends cars who I have seen make numerous runs at E-town. The 122+mph trap I ran could have easily have been a fluke. But It is also coming from the same meter that said I was doing 106-108 stock (besides a rear section). I have also seen that particular meter used @ the track and when the results were compared to the official slip they were almost identical. (So regardless of what many may think I KNOW, used properly it can give you very accurate results. As for supercharged M3's, all of the properly tuned s/c's e9x's I've seen at the track were doing between 130-135mph. The only s/c M's ive seen do 12xmph were cars with the 540 kits or less...And I have raced two s/c's 08+ M3's and I the one with the 540 kit and DCT took me by less than a car to over 130mph. The other one obviously roasted me. 99% of the people reading this can think that an NA M3 being in the high teen to low 120's is ridiculous, that's fine. I would to...But I own the car and have my share of track experience, so Im confident that my car is a high 11 sec car, and would consistently pull 118+, with a good launch. (again, since switching from the PSS to the Hankooks I haven't been able to break a 2.2 60' time).. I edited together a video of a few of my races. Its not public on youtube so I will PM you the link... I run: 2006 C6 Corvette (Intake, headers , cat-less, exhaust, and dyno tune) 2015 M4 w/ a Dinan tune 2014 Camaro SS with Intake, Straight pipes, and a tune 2010 135i, heavily modded, upgraded single turbo, full M3 suspension... 2015 WRX STi (obviously this was a joke) These are all modded cars that run low 12's to low 13 second bone stock. When you see the results you will understand why I believe my car is as fast as it is. It's also important to note I have raced MANY other M3's and the only one that beat me was an ESS Supercharged e92 w/ a 650 kit and custom tune. I test drove 4 or 5 before I bought it, and bought it bc it was clearly faster than the others. I cannot share the video publicly because my face and/or license plate # is in it...(I will PM you the link now) Here are pics of the best run, and the last pic is the set of runs I had before the tune or test pipes, x-pipe, or tune. Those runs, I had an AFE Intake, "Ram air scoops", and a rear section exhaust.

The average M3 with my mods, and a decent driver do high 11's, low 12's with traps in the high teens... Anyway, why do you care so much?

[QUOTE=DKM3Power;17298354]Probably not, my point is that the S65 engine, and the M3's power and speed vary wildly from car to car. Mine is definitely on the higher end. Trapping 118-119 is 10mph over stock, which considering mods that slightly increase power but more importantly substancially improve launch and keep the car @ peak WHP longer, is completely reasonable.

You are the one posting all the info and sending me vids, I'm just being practical incase others think these cars can trap that NA. If so, it's very impressive that's all. |

That explains it, trap speeds on apps are calculated differently from trap speed at the track, and typically read a few mph high. I don't think it is ridiculous at all to say you are trapping in the high teens. I just don't think you are trapping 123mph on a real track. 118-119 sure. A lot of those apps read terminal velocity at 1/4 mile instead of the true trap speed. Unless you are using an external bluetooth GPS with high refresh rate, the phone's internal GPS does not have a high enough refresh rate to calculate true trap speed properly (average speed of the car in the last 60 feet of the 1/4 mile).
Either way, your car is fast and that is what matters. |

Also the numbers from a buddies $400 Dyno-Dash Performance meter (which also uses OBDII Data, combined with a very powerful and accurate GPS) also said I was trapping 115+ before removing cats/ and installing the tune... But Ive noticed how slow the iPhones GPS is compared to real time...Using the GPS metered Dash Cam apps, the iphones gps lags 5 + MPH sometimes... Last thing to mention is my OBD speed is accurate, I turned off the very optimistic BMW speedo by turning off the Speedometer "Correction" using BMWhat app. LMAO, the OEM speedo told me that the car was doing 170+MPH stock when obviously I was hitting the governor @ 155mph...

Finally got my car back...
As always my guy did a phenomenal job...
Also shaved the old painted reflectors so the bumper is now euro style bumper... Also powder coated the wheels slightly darker than the original graphite, but as I requested, added a mettallic finish and instead of the porous, hard to clean mate graphite, its now smooth and glossy...couldnt be happier... More pics tomm...

Thanks Zeem. I'm relieved everything is tight, drives great. Few minor issues that the owner of the body dhop is going to take care of...Powder coated all 4 wheels a TINY bit darker than they were but went gloss instead of matte graphite, gives it a cool metallic look...
Lets get up soon... And as u can see above I may be selling the wing, which youve seen how perfect the rep I have is, so if you or anyone u know is looking LMK
