Help!! Car Stopped and won't turn on HELP

So my parents were driving in their x5 and the car just stopped and won't turn on or move. The engine light turned on and then went to a dead stop. They are towing it to the dealership.. What is wrong with the car?

The car is a 2010 and only has 17k miles on it. Please help

not until monday.. they had to bring a different tow truck because it wouldnt move at all

nope its driven everyday for a long time just for alot of miles lol...

I hope the vehicle still has warranty and the owners have patience. The dealer will throw parts at the vehicle like there's no tomorrow. In the end - bad battery.

I had a 2010 335i just traded, it had 11,000 miles. No low battery
and it would sit months without going someplace. So a good battery
hold a charge for a long time.

Have a x5d several months old now, 1,000 miles, no battery problems
with it either.

You know there are people who do not live in there cars. Just driven
when needed.

something broke and went to where the oil is held and stopped.. they fixed it and when we pick it up on tuesday and turned the car on at home the same thing happened. on wednesday they came and towed it back and we havent gotten a phone or anything.. we left messages and nothing... and no loaner car just our luck.
