2011 X5M vs 2013 X5M - any differences

My 2011 X5M was stolen form me. I'm planning to buy another one and there is a 2013 with the same carbon black color as mine available at the dealer. The only thing different is that 2013 has active LED which my old one didnt have and also the 2013 does not have the rear entairtainment system. I would like to know if there are any other differences between the 2 years? cosmetic/performance?
Anything I should know or watch out for?

I don't think there are any significant changes. LED headlights are awesome. 2013 has blue brake calipers.

I think 2011 has 2 different versions.
2011 built before 10/10 and after 10/10.
pre-10/10 built is exactly same as 2010 and post 10/10 built has newer/updated stuff.
And from later 2012, BMW start adding blue calipers and LED options.

They broke into my house and took my keys to the X5M and 2 BMW motorcyles (S1000rr, and HP4), and alot of contents from my house. I have been very upset and depressed. Blue calipars will look good. I was thinking of getting a differnt car now. but i cant really find any better SUV than the X5M. Porchse cayyene Turbo is nice but way too expensive and not as good as the X5M in performance. So I think its gonna be another X5M.

Sorry to hear as well. Could they not use your GPS to track the car? Or maybe you need an active Assist subscription for that? I know it's possible as long as you file a police report first. And I'm considering selling my X5M, but were not quite within driving distance so I don't think it does us much good... Good luck!

Man, I'm really sorry to hear that.
I thought Canadians don't need to lock the house since it's such safe place.
I guess what we hear in the US is somewhat different from the reality there.

See I'm not paranoid about hiding my 2nd key in the safe or in a locked drawer. The other key is on my house key chain... when I go, the keyfob goes.

I wonder what they could've done with it. Stripped it for some expensive parts...?

yes i had BMW assist on it. However they probably disconnected the battery. Based on what the cops said, the car is probably shipped to Russia. Im looking to get another 2013 X5M or maybe M6. I dunno yet.

Overall a lot of things are the same through the years. I have a copy of the model changes I can upload in a bit. Main things below:

On 2011 models they added Bluetooth audio streaming

On 2012 models they added the option for BMW Apps

On 2013 models they have blue M calipers (cosmetic) and option for LED headlights.

not all '11s have blue tooth streaming. they did some mid year changes. can't remember the cut off point.
