I called they said go to channel 184 which was weather, they sent the signal but i get no sounds whats so ever when Im on the sat menu. Not even like the preview garbage they play when you dont have a current active plan.

The vehicle is outside and has a clear view of the sky, right? Did you recently buy the vehicle or have you never used the sat tuner? Given that you see a channel list, you do have a sat tuner as also evident of the ESN. The sat tuner could be defective and providing output.

Yeah I had it outside and never activated, and the weird part is your not even hearing the preview bs that they play,(its not on mute).

I just bought it today.

It takes some time to send the signal...does it work now? Is the car sitting outside?

I had the operator look it up through my VIN (couldn't find my #). They had no problem finding it once I provided my VIN.

With things like Pandora, iHeartRadio, Spotify, etc; it amazes me that XM is still in business. I guess people pay more for the exclusive talk radio stuff. But I'm cheap like that. ;-)

If you bargain with SiriusXM it can be pretty cheap; cheaper than say Pandora, iHeartRadio or Spotify.

So I am not sure if this is any help but I have been facing issues with the Sirius signal being so weak that it constantly cuts out. I took my old e53 out last weekend (has lifetime Sirius subscription) and it kept cutting out and displaying "acquiring" but thought very little of it as I rarely drive it. I have been traveling for work this week and my rental car has an active Sirius subscription and has been displaying "weak signal" and continuously cutting out due to complete loss of signal even when in full clear view of sky. Around the spring/fall equinox I have always noticed increased interruptions in service when in areas with potential signal blockage but have never seen it this bad and for such an extended period. If the signal is slightly weak, in my experience, it is very difficult or even impossible to reinitialize a receiver.
