Vibration when braking, with new brake pads and rotors
I had some vibration when braking with my ‘11 X5, so I replaced my front and rear brake pads and rotors with new ones from Bosch, as it felt like the vibration came from both front and rear.
It feels like the vibration is still there, even I cleaned the hub and the calipers/brackets and tightened up everything correctly. The pistons in the calipers moved smoothly, in my opinion. I didn’t change the anti-rattle springs, could this be the cause? Or could it have something to do with the calipers? |

I'm still new to the X platform but in the E39 cars, vibration during braking was also linked to worn out suspension components, usually the thrust arms. Take a look at those and see if there is any play.
