Options for all-season tires
I'm looking to buy some Conti DWS for my wife's X5 but the size for the rear (315/35R20) seems to be on back order everywhere (Tire Rack, Discount Tire Direct).
I live in Philly so I need all-season tires that would be decent in snow etc. Anyone know where i might be able to find some Conti's in that size or any other all-season tires that people would recommend. Discount Tire Direct recommended Nitto Motivo's, but i've seen very mixed reviews of their handling in the wet/snow. |

but if you want to use just Winter Tires and go back to your summer tires. Id check Blizzak Snow Tires to their widest tires and run that that is the Best Snow Tires. |

I'd let someone else experiment with those. If you haven't looked Toyo also has winter tires in the correct sizes and load/speed ratings. I called a guy at treaddepot but it's been a couple months. He had one set in a warehouse. |

Since this will be my first winter with the M, I had the same question about A/S tires. After talking to local JEEP SRT-8 guys, since they have high performance SUVs like ours, and use the same tire size in the front and rear as the X5M, I decided to go with these A/S tires for the winter, per their recommendation:
Front - Delinte D8 Desert Storm 275/40R20 Rear - DELINTE D8 A/S 4PLY BW - P315/35R20 Since we don't get much snow in MD, I am hoping the staggered setup with these A/S tires will help me get through the winter months. So far no complaints in normal driving or rain! |
