Powder coating wheels

Hey guys. I spent some time detailing Lala this weekend and became annoyed with the wheels. Paint looks great but the wheels need some work. Previous owner curb rashed all 4 wheels and there is some baked in dust that won’t come off with conventional cleaners.

It got me thinking, what if I had them completely refinished? Got me thinking about all the color options available. If you had your wheels done, post up a pic. Can’t decide if I go for factory finish or try something different. Maybe titanium like the BBS SV wheels? Maybe a dark bronze? That might look cool against deep sea blue paint.

Wheels are Style 469M

In the process of getting mine done in the next few weeks... The shop uses colors from this store (link below) and I just got my swatches in (samples) to pick the color.

Shop is charging $85 for sand blasting and the powder coating.

Thanks for the pics. I’m torn with black wheels. Sometimes I like the look, other times I don’t. Yours looks good. I’m wondering if my style wheel would look good black or if it would just loose all its character

Gunmetal OEM wheels always a solid choice on these trucks...

I had mine refinished in "BMW Silver" from prismatic powders. I think the shade is too dark and they kind of appear dull. I am going to refinish them in something brighter with more metallic fleck. Here is a pic of my wheels along with the sample.

Not sure what this color is. The wheels are on the SAV when we bought it. Might be a gunmetal.

First picture I had them Podercoated texture gunmetal and spray painted them cast iron a few weaks back . The cast iron has a light bronze look but not overdone.

Had mine just done in Shadow Chrome (Smoked Chrome) over at Proformance Wheels in New Rochelle. Pictures don't do them justice, they are gunmetalish straight on but darker from the side. At night they get really dark. About $200 per wheel, sand blasted and powdercoated.
