Trailer brake wireless harness

Has anyone seen this? You plug the trailer brake into your cigarette lighter. I wonder if OEM coding is still required.

Well that controller will make the trailer brakes work but I'm not sure if it will make the brake lights light up.

There are others on this forum who have used it.

FWIW it wasn't that big a deal to have the dealer code it for me.

That's the one I have used for three years now and it works great with my travel trailer. I had to have the codes done for everything to work.

I use one too. It works pretty well but it's a pain to pair because the voltage monitor interferes with the pairing process. Despite several methods Tekonsha suggested, I ended up using a friend's Tundra to get the pairing complete. Once you go through the pairing process, the actual proportional control isn't done by the handheld module - it's in the box you mount on the trailer, so in the event you lose the wireless connection for some reason, the brakes still work.

I have an Invisihitch (highly recommend) with the BMW harness installed, then coded the hitch zoom and trailer stability control once the hitch was installed.
