Question rubbing or bottoming out after lowering?

Im just curious as to whether anybody has had problems with their X6 rubbing or bottom out at all after installing lowering springs?

I have the Dinan drop and have never experienced that issue. It is, afterall, only a .75" drop, but the look is still agressive with excellent performance. If you're at all concerned about bottoming out, I would go for a conservative drop, which will also preserve the quality of the ride.

Thats exactly why i chose the H&R 1.2/1" drop. I want a minimal drop for my X6 but from what ive read it seems like in actuality the drop ends up being much more than 1.2"/1"......

Mine did when I first lowered it. Had the rear lowering link with the h&r springs. Rear was tucked! Then drove like a low rider with no shocks. So I lifted it back up quite a bit. The front isn't adjustable though but the rear kinda brings it down with it

so you only had rubbing issues in the rear since it was dropped real low right? Did the front rub at all? considering we have links in the back I'd only drop it .5-.75" very minimal.

Yea. My car is fairly low right now with 22" setup. No rubbing. But as you know. These springs are very bouncy. But that's about it

I think im gonna bite the bullet and just get them installed, we'll see how it goes. Theres a lot of gap in the front so the 1.2 should be fine. In the rear since its links I can play with the drop.

I had mine dropped with H&R. Never had problems.
In fact, it's still got more clearance than normal sedans do.

It really does. I highly doubt anyone will actually run into rubbing issues with these unless you lower it to the lowest setting. And in that setting, I don't think the car is still drivable

So i got it lowered today, turned out pretty nice I must say. I got about a 2" gap all aroun now. Initially the back was almost tucked so I had them raise it back up somewhat. I'll post some pics tomorrow of the end result. The ride doesnt seem much different from stock. I drove about 20 minutes on the highway at a pretty high rate of speed and it felt the same as stock.

Congratulations!
The car looks more aggressive now, right?
It really looks a lot better after lowered, especially from the back.
Give it a few more weeks to settle.
