jb4 CEL/SES flashes

Will need to do some logs (weather is rainy atm and I haven't run the cables through the glove box so need to go through the window!) however I am currently get CEL/SES(?) flashing once during high rpm WOT and the car immediately switches to stock boost levels.

From further reading this seems to be related to a safety feature built into jb4. I am currently running map 5 and it has happened for the two days since I have installed the jb4.

Question: My car was previously misfiring on cylinder 5 to which i had the coil pack changed - would a misfire cause the CEL/SES flash once? Or is this only related to overboost?

Previously in stock mode, the car would go into limp mode when it misfired. It is currently just switching to map 4 with jb4...

Use the usb cable or dash interface and pull any codes you have, they will give you more insight.

Yes a misfire could cause what you are seeing.

You could have also installed it wrong, or a connector might not be seated quite properly, or you might need to clear your ECU again. Those are all easy fixes.

Thanks will re-read the codes to see if it has changed from cylinder 5 misfire.

Was just not sure whether a misfire would make the SES flash once as it is generally attributed to overboost.
