X5 Wheels sizes

Hello all, just bought 07 X5, 4.8 with no sport package. Want to get the 20" Y wheels and wondering approximate cost and more importantly can I swap out the 18" wheels without? Thanks.

You can, but you'll probably want to also add the extended wheel arches. In the end, new wheels (OEM 214), new tires (non OEM), new wheel arches, probably close to $4000 (minus install labor).

Thanks for your advice

I've seen a lot of OEM new wheels on line (not reconditioned), that are a fraction of the price. Wondering if that is an option of if I'm asking for trouble. In this case I would not have them installed at the dealer more than likely.

Seriously?! Be careful what you are buying (many are replicas, not OEM, or if OEM, they have been re-trued/re-straightened and repainted.) Does the seller include the wheel caps and the TPMS sensors?

I thought the wheel arches were standard on 4.8 models?
