Is it me, or the engine rumble gets more noticeable after the first 1500 miles?

I had this impression the past few days. .

Does anything else happen besides the rumble in the exhaust? I turned 1500 today and have been waiting for something to happen. Seems louder but may just be the power of suggestion.

No rumble here!
In fact mine is so quiet that i left my x6 3.5i idling for 20 minutes, doing errands, & didn't realize it until i came back to the x6 w/engine running!!

Ahhh...been there. It takes some getting use to to turn it off and not have your foot on the brake for the second push. I keep restarting mine. Pretty embarrassing when showing a neighbor all the cool technology and you don't know how to turn off your own car... I think if you hold the button down long enough, it will shut down instead of the two shorts pushes.
