Valentine 1 and Savvy (E71 X6M)
I can happily report that the Valentine One and Savvy are working perfectly with my 2012 E71 X6M.
I decided to take a leap of faith and opted to install he Savvy adapter. It plugs into the OBD port and serves as the power source and mutes the V1 below your selected speed. It makes a clean install seamless I installed the Savvy with the V1 Connection at the top of the footwell. I used 3M loop adhesive and routed the power up the A pillar The side panel of the dash pries off easily and the A pillar is held in place by one torx screw under the airbag plastic label. The cover is then held by plastic fasteners. Just pull firmly. I contained the cord under the headliner. Simple as that. 2 of 10 on difficulty.

Is it really worth it? i have had a V1 in every car i have owned for the last 15 years. and i have been tapping into the powered mirrors for all of them. with pin style cords so its a no damage tap. takes about 30 min on a new car to figure out with a multi meter. did you run the cords down the headliner and the pillars?

It's really simple and it works. No ground issues and will silence your V1 at a preselected speed. Yes, I ran it up the A pillar by removing the trim piece (1 torx screw and a few fasteners) and then hid the cord in the headliner. It's all concealed nicely.
It serves as a power source for the V1 connection or for a remote display (but not both). My motivation for posting was to confirm that it works on an E71. I too have always hard wired my V1's. This is another option. Is it worth $70? That varies by individual.
