Recall 22V-119
I am scheduled to take in a 2009 X5 with 89000 miles for this recall below. Just curious if anybody here had this recall done and how extensive this procedure. I was told they needed a day for this.
Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve heater (blow-by-heater). TT |

Oh gosh, they told me its an 1 day procedure.
I thought they had to dump the engine oil with that too. Was looking to change the oil on the car myself but didn't know if i should wait after the service |

It took them 1.5 hour including with a car wash and lifting up my car for tires wear recommendation. Based on this post and other videos I watched on Youtube, it sounded the valve is underneath the manifold.
https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/show...3#post29795393 So I marked the plastic pins (the one holding down the intake tubing )with two special marking and didn't see them get moved. Maybe they worked from under? This is an 2009 X5 3.0 suv. Job description by dealer: Retrofitting fuse and fuse carrier for angle piece (blow-by heater) and checking functionality per SIB 11 01 22.
