Level Control System Malfunction

So this evening we had an odd thing happen to our X5M. We were driving it out to a concert and made one stop on the way. Walking back up to the car I noticed the car was leaning a bit towards the driver side. We got in and upon driving it, noticed it was all over the road and way bouncy. A few minutes later the car dinged and a notice of "Level Control System Malfunction" came up. It seems like one of our rear shocks just bottomed itself out. Has this happened to anyone on here? Was it a simple warranty fix? I'm a bit worried about the car, but I reckon it's happened before to other cars, so hopefully they don't have any trouble figuring out what the problem is.

We drove in the torrential downpour this evening, I wonder if that had any bearing on the car...I'm open to any input from folks who are familiar with this issue. The car's going in to the dealer first thing in the morning, so fingers crossed!
