How to reset brake light

I finally had time to change my front brakes today, took me around a half hour to do...the hardest part for me at least, was reseting the brake light on the dash. I was messing around with the trip odometer reset button and the blinker stalk button and all kinds of crazy codes and numbers displayed on the dash...the speedometer, gas and oil needles all went nuts.

I somehow reset the light but I have no clue how I did it Does anyone know how to reset it for future reference?

Edit: After checking the i-drive vehicle info, it seems the brakes were reset to 28,000 till next brake change...is that normal or am I a magician lol

It was on youtube for me. Pretty easy to find. The icon makes absolutely no sense! But yes, mine too reset to a number like that.

Cattivo, we like reading your post and would like to continue doing so ...

Do us a favor: next time you work under your car, PLEASE put a steel (not Aluminum) jack stand under the the car (in addition to the floor jack if you want). Hydraulic floor jacks have been known to fail ...

If you did and it's not visible, I apologize for being presumptuous.

It's hard to see the jack stand in the pic but it's just to the right of the brake caliper where the break wear sensor was dangling...thanks for your concern brother
