X5 M-Sport Oil Change

Does anyone here knows If I have to change my spark plugs when i do my oil my truck is 2012 50i and has 45k miles called the dealer for an appointment and that's what they told me.
They also say it's gonna stay there cuze it's like 5 hours labor so they quoted me $650 for the job ???
Is this truth or what's going on here never heard about it with my other cars !!!
Any comments r welcome

Expired in June so I bought platinum package for another 3 years up to 100K but they said this won't cover parts or stuff like that.

That's crazy, you should just find a diy and do both yourself.

I was gonna do this my self but I didn't want to fuc* with warranty.
Now that I know it's not covered Im just gonna get parts "spark plugs" and DIY not to bad tho

You got the extended warranty or extended maintenance? I think there was a DIY on x5m spark plugs posted recently. X5 should be identical.

Extended warranty no maintenance tho they want to sell me the maintenance now they said I still qualify for it but I didn't even bother asking prices.

The maintenance guide says change the plugs after four oil changes. That must be why you got flagged.

I'm assuming that's what's happening over here but is this mandatory or just they want to steal my money some how ???

When under the factory warranty 4/50, there's a distinction between 4th oil change and 4th oil SERVICE. They wouldn't change my spark plugs at the 4th oil change because they did a low mileage/annual 4th oil change, which is not the same as an oil service. I'm so glad to be done with their crap. Nothing's more valuable than an experienced Indy mechanic and money in the bank vs. a donation to BMW for a ripoff extended warranty and/or maintenance plan.
