Insurance recommendations

For years I've had Fireman's Fund insurance for my house and cars. They've been stellar, no muss no fuss on claims, no complaints whatsoever. Unfortunately, they were bought by ACE who promptly jacked both my policies for no apparent reason. My broker was able to negotiate them down to something more reasonable but it's still an increase. I 100% trust my broker, I've known him a very, very long time, and he wholly recommends ACE over anyone else, but it's still a lot of dough.

I was considering Travelers or Liberty Mutual. The biggest question would be how claims are handled. Anyone have a good recommendation with known solid claims service?

I've had to make a few claims with StateFarm and they have been awesome. Based on my experience I'll be sticking with them.

Farmers has been great for me coverage wise when I needed it. They have however steadily raised their prices over the 5yrs I've had them in WA state.

I've cross shopped AAA a couple years back and it was only $200/yr lower in cost per year. Which wasn't enough for me to swap just yet at then. (Not compelling enough + mixture of laziness)

I'm going to check on insurance through Costco, which I think is Liberty Mutual. I had them some 15+ yrs ago, and it was good for what it was, and cheaper than other "online," quotes (e.g. Geico, Progressive, etc)

I've had Allstate for so long that they cannot even match my rate any longer if I was to leave and come back again.

Keep in mind that rates vary greatly by state. So what is good for someone in one locale, may not reflect what you get comparatively.
