Any auto parts store should have them.

You shouldn't need one.

You do need one. Its just a battery tender/trickle charger. 20-30 bucks at any auto supply place.

you really don't need one. the process is pretty quick and the battery shouldnt run down.

you can get one at any auto parts store if you just want the insurance.

Actually YES. You do need one. Trust me, I learned the hard way. You won't have any problems downloading the info to the programmer, but when it comes time to uploading back to the vehicle it's an absolute MUST. Trust me, lol, you need it. I was stranded in a parking garage until I got my hands on one.

I got one of these from Autozone http://www.autozone.com/autozone/acc...mString=search
Basically you need a power source to keep your battery at a constant level, especially while sending info back to your ECU during a tune. Ask Omar at Velos, he can vouch for me on this. Good luck and enjoy your tune!

Why are you asking where you can buy one if you believe you don't need one? You are probably right. You don't need one. Try it and let us know how it works out.

And why are you answering your own question?

Amazon has the original BMW model for $60 shipped...seems like a good value if you need one.

He is answering his question because I bumped this post from almost a year ago to figure out if I needed a charger or not. He has since gotten the tune onto his car, so now he is saying you don't NEED one. I am still gonna get one though just to be safe lol.
