New Wheel Confirmation

Hey guys, I just purchased a 2009 BMW X5 xDrive48i a few weeks ago. I am about to purchase a set of staggered Ground Force GF06 Gloss Black wheels with 20x9" in the front and 20x10.5" in the rear. I am just reaching out to see if anyone has purchased these wheels and if these will fit my X5. I am purchasing them from a site that guarantees perfect fit but just wanted to get some feedback here since this is the first time I am purchasing aftermarket wheels. Thanks guys!

I am sure they will attach to your vehicle, but that doesn't mean they will fit it well. What are the offsets you are ordering? what kind of flares, if any, do you have on your ride. Depending on offsets, you made need significant spacers to make the wheels look good, especially with narrower than stock wheels.

Thank you for your reply! I chose the option on the site that the wheel experts will pick the best recommended fit for my vehicle. Right now I have not added any flares but I could always get some when I get the wheels put on like you said along with some wheel spacers right?

yes, but it better to minimize the use of spacers if possible. Do you have any idea what offsets they will be using on these wheels? I would want to know for sure before ordering.

Not all "wheel experts" are created equal.

When I go to select the offsets it gives me and option of 15,20,25,30,35,40 mm on both the front and rear and it says that they will all fit. Any advice on which will be the best?Sorry for the lack of knowledge on this, just want to make sure I am not making a mistake.

I assume you want your wheels to be flush with your fenders - take a straight edge and a ruler and measure the distance from your current wheels to where you want your new wheels to be.

It seems like if my new wheels were 10mm farther out than the stock ones I have on right now it would be flush

do you intend to install fender flares? Most do as it gives a more aggressive look.

If you intend to install flares you should do so now and get your wheels sized to be flush with those flares. I would do that first, then you can figure out how much offset you want. Otherwise, you will buy wheels and tires, then flares, then spend another 200 on spacers to make the wheels flush again.
