D1S Bulbs

Anyone have recommendation for D1S replacement bulb with 6000K? And why do you recommend them? Can you please post the link of the website where you got them from? Thanks!

I made the switch 3 years back. I went with the PHILIPS Ultinon 6000K D1S Xenon Bulb. Perfect swap in minutes with no errors..

Best one in many tests is the OSRAM CBI 6000k.

Why would you want to lose approx 12% - 15% lumens by going from a 4300k to 6000k bulb? Personally, I would look for a bulb that was between 4300K-5000K if possible...a 6000k bulb would be at the bottom of my list in regards to replacement.

The Kelvin color temp spectrum is NOT like the old incandescent bulb rating where a 60watt bulb produces less lumens vs a 75w or 100w bulb.

Looks like this one from Osram doesn't lose the intensity with increase in Kelvin.

There is a youtube video showing the difference between the Osram varieties from Retrofit source as well.

I went with the Osram CBI bulbs, and am very happy with my light output. Opposing drivers don't seem to be.... especially in rural areas.

I went with D1S OSRAM Xenarc Night Breaker Unlimited when my stock D1S gave out, very happy with them, going 6000K above is just color gimmick and more blueish tint harder to see when it rains or when roads are wet since water reflects back out blue color, should stay below 5000K when your area gets lots rains.
