X5 '08 DVD Region can be cancelled or hacked?

I've bought my X5 4 years ago from US. I'm from Romania, Europe. I've been ignoring this "problem" ever since, but now i want to solve it.

I can't watch DVD's on my car only if they are written for Region 1: US & Canada. For Romania we have Region 2.
Is there a way to cancel/hack this Region thing on the car? So that i buy DVD's from everywhere and watch them issue-less? And also can i activate video-in-motion?

This guy says he can remove the DVD encoding. I also bought a cd for my 3 series that was able to remove the encoding by just putting it in the player once (link below also)
