Thigh Support Question

I notice that in the thread http://www.xbimmers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=291652
that the thigh support, when extended, has a leather piece between the stationary seat and the the thigh support. My 2009 50i does not have it. It just has a void that is hard plastic below the space. Other pics show the same void that I have. Both are '09s but his is a 35i, could that be the difference?

We both have Saddle Brown interiors with what appears to be the same options.

Good observation!
I think the seats are sewn differently/better now.. Must be different supplier
for '09s.
My '08 3.5i, one made in june '08 have the black plastic under.
'09s probably have better crafted leather because it has to compete now w/ nicer interior of cayennes/ range rovers/ mb etc.
Back in '08 people couldn't wait to get theirs hands on one.

Mine is an '09 made in March and the others on the lot are just like mine. Curious....

My car was built June 09 with comfort seats and just has the black plastic.

my guess it your seats are comfort seat and they all come with the plastic piece you're talking about

the ones in the pics from the previous link are sport seats and they all come with the cloth piece
