Thinking of going from my e90 to X5 35d

Anyone made this jump? Any general thoughts on the 35d? I like the torque on the d. I will miss the manual transmission on my e90, but I am looking for a change.

Thanks in Advance.

Did it, and those 2 aren't comparable.
I do miss the 335i stance and acceleration, driving comportment.

But the 35d's more practical, much more low torque, economy.

I did it.

I traded in my E92 M3 for a X5 D. Call me crazy, but I love it. I look back, but it was worth it.

I regret every second trading my 335i N54 when driving my D. Should have gotten E90 M3 instead, same money around here. Can't even imagine how some traded the M for that clancker.

Hard, but if you didn't needed one, can see why you're so happy.
I needed one, thus the trade.
Did a mistake with an X1, and corrected since.

Next year, I plan on purchasing an E82 135i or 1M (IF i can find one), for ... my wife.

I hear you. I'll look into F15 X5M or F80 M3.

What is it about the x5 that you dislike so much?
Thanks

Diesel motor, built quality and never ending warranty problems (in my case). I like the looks though.

Bizarre, it's the point that made me buy this one instead of a 2012 X3 35i.
Like I said, I needed the extra pushing power of a diesel.

For built quality, can't really argue, they do cut corners, and also put accessories as optional, where the vast majority of other car manufacturers put as standard on a vehicule of that price.

Not yet bored to the point of purchasing from other manufacturers, though.

E91 to X535D

I did that jump into my X5 from my 2010 E91.
I have no regrets what so ever NONE.
I would do the same thing again.
Must say that I have had a ton of warranty work done to it, and now I have check engine light again, ( checked it myself with a code reader and my TB even though it was replaced about 2 months ago... well went for crap. It was replaced with some kind of a recall, never had problem with it before, and now the new one, did not last me 2 months .... go figure )
so I'm going to see my local BMW dealer again, but anyway.
I love my X5 for my personal space ( I'm a bit tall ), fuel economy, power to pull, really nice transmission ( much smoother than my pre E91 GL320 CDI, that was a piece of work that truck ).
Honestly e9X in comparison to E7X I don't think it is doable....
You have to weigh YOUR pros and cons
For me it was worth it, will it be for YOU ????

You'll have to change your log in name !
Just like I did (and I haven't changed it while I had my X1).
